Experience from the field, brought into the lesson.

After retiring from the U.S. Marines and earning a bachelor’s degree, Ron entered HVAC. His work has included roles as a technician, service manager, and business owner.

Those different views of the trade shape the way he teaches: learn the fundamentals, understand what a system is doing, and practice explaining your reasoning. A quiz answer alone is not the same as understanding the work.

Online study can help you build that foundation. Field skills still require supervised practice with an employer or qualified professional.

The teaching approach

Make one idea click, then build on it.

In HVAC Boot Camp, Ron uses textbook reading, video lessons, and quizzes to build an understanding of the systems behind the work.

01

Explain the “why”

Connect pressure, heat, airflow, and electrical ideas to what happens in equipment.

02

Check understanding

Work through a focused question and learn from the feedback.

03

Prepare for real work

Use the knowledge to ask better questions and enter supervised training with a foundation.
